QUARANTINE PROFILE: DOUBLECAMP

We’ve launch a profile series to highlight how artists are spending their time during quarantine. Several times a week we’ll highlight a new artist across the globe and see how they’re keeping busy during COVID-19 lockdowns.

DOUBLECAMP are the indie newcomer duo hailing from Nashville. If you’ve been on the searching during quarantine for some addictive upbeat pop bops, they’ve got you covered. You honestly can’t go wrong with any of their tracks. The guys have been releasing singles since last year with bright and fun artwork to go along with. We got to chat with them about their latest track ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ and what they’ve been up to during quarantine.

Where have you been spending your quarantine?

Holed up in our house or at least 6 feet from everyone else 😊

How have you been staying busy during quarantine?

We have been writing a ton! Filming videos and learning new ways to create content ourselves.  We have also been cooking and eating and playing board games!  Settlers of Catan is where it's at board game wise for us right now.

What’s something new you’ve cooked/baked?

Made some s'mores the other day. That was pretty cool.

What keeps you happy?

I think being around good supportive people, family, friends and creating music are our biggest things.

What’s something you miss the most right now?

Playing shows. It's awesome to have this time to write and work on stuff, but playing them for people is something we both can't wait to get back too.

What do you hope we take away from this?

I hope everyone is taking this time to just learn what’s really important and healthy for themselves. A friend told me 2020 is the year of perfect vision. I thought that was a cool way to look at it. It's the year we really take time and try gain perspective on what matters to us.

Anything new we should know about that you’re working on?

We have a new song out on July 8th called, "Smoke and Mirrors" as well as a video for it.  Lots of new music on the way!
