QUARANTINE PROFILE: Fickle Friends
We’ve launch a new profile series to highlight how artists are spending their time during quarantine. Several times a week we’ll highlight a new artist across the globe and see how they’re keeping busy during COVID-19 lockdowns.
Brighton’s Fickle Friends continue to leave us with nothing but happy little bops since their debut album in 2018, You Are Someone Else. In the last few months we’ve been treated to a few new tracks like “Amateurs”, “Pretty Great” and the latest “Eats Me Up”. We caught up with front-woman Natti for the first time since our US Tour Diary to see how she’s been spending her quarantine. Alert: kitten content ahead.

How have you been staying busy during quarantine?
I have actually kept myself very busy. I’ve been illustrating a lot, doing pay what you feel commissions. I’ve also been teaching a lot of zoom yoga classes. Writing music, recording covers, reading, watching movies, learning macrame, learning how to stick and poke tattoo (practicing on myself ha). Lockdown has been weird but fun!
What’s something new you’ve cooked/baked?
I made Aubergine (vegan) Katsu curry last night. I’m gunna nail that before lock down is over!
Go to quarantine snack:
Plantain!!! Fried plantain, omg I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to cook it for myself!
Song you’ve had on repeat:
“The Garden” by Phoebe Bridgers. It’s become one of my all time favourite songs.
If you could only watch one film or TV show for the rest of time what would it be?
RU PAULS DRAG RACE!
